Aon Corporation Financial Summary:
Aon Corporation (NYSE: AOC) today reported results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2007. Net income increased 92% to $204 million or $0.64 per share, compared to $106 million or $0.32 per share for the prior year quarter. Net income from continuing operations increased 109% to $188 million or $0.59 per share, compared to $90 million or $0.27 per share for the prior year quarter. Certain items that impacted third quarter results and comparisons with the prior year quarter are detailed in the reconciliations of non-GAAP measures on pages 13 and 14 of this press release. Net income from continuing operations per share, excluding certain items, increased 67% to $0.70 compared to $0.42 for the prior year quarter.
